FAQs

Find answers about membership, visiting, and what we offer here.

How do I join?

Membership is straightforward. Visit us during open hours to meet the team, the members and see the workshop. We'll talk through what membership means and answer any questions you have about costs and what's included. If you wish, you can download and print the membership form from the documents section, fill it in and bring it along when you visit.

What if I’m not very practical?

You don’t have to be practical, but you can learn to be. Some members come along to watch and learn, others might just appreciate the banter. You can come and bring any other skills you might have and possibly suggest projects that fit your own skillset. Currently there’s a lot of woodworking projects going on but it would be a shame if that’s all we do.

Where to find us?

Check our Contact Us and Diary pages for full opening hours and session schedules.

Can I visit before joining?

Yes. Drop by during open hours to have a look around, chat with members, and get a feel for the place. No appointment needed, just come along when we are in session.

What equipment do you have?

Our workshop is well-equipped for woodworking and general making. From hand tools to power tools, we should have what you need. We are constantly adding to our equipment and are very happy when we receive tool donations. Visit us or get in touch if you're wondering about something specific.
